The stated weight (kg/m3) is measured with a moisture percentage of approx. 12%. A Pacific Coast Maple tree is mainly planted to create shadow spots due to its huge crown and its average length of 18 meters. Its sapwood is not always clearly distinguishable from its white pinkish heartwood.

In the wood trade industry, usually its heartwood is been used due to is hardness, but also to its non-durability. It is very similair to Hard Maple, although it is less dense, less hard and less heavy.

Due to the exceptional bending, turning and machining properties, the finishing touch of this wood is outstanding.

Interesting facts:

* Pacific Coast Maple somehow react the same as charcoal.
