Botanical name: | Erisma Uncinatum |
Weight: | 600 kg/m3 |
Origin: | Brazil, Guyana and Suriname |
The stated weight (kg/m3) is measured with a moisture percentage of approximately 12%. The centre half of the tree is a light brownish-red, the outer heartwood resembles American White Oak. A bicolour grade, containing both heartwood colours, is thus also available. Its demarcated sapwood has a white-grey colour. The grain is coarse with occasional large wormholes but appears not to be prone to pinholes. Camabara hasn't got a unique wood figure. Furthermore, it is easily to work with.
