The stated weight (kg / m3) is measured with a moisture percentage of approximately 12%. Its heartwood is pale to medium reddish brown and frequently has clearly visible dark borwn or black wood veins. Curupay belongs to the hardest and most heavy wood species. Very remarkebly, is the usual absence of knots in the wood.
