The stated weight (kg / m3) is measured with a moisture percentage of approximately 12%. Sapeli is also known as Sapeli Mahogany. The tree reaches an average high of 40 to 50 meters. Just sawn Sapeli is pinkish red, but it tends to darken to a more golden to dark reddish brown color with age. Moreover, beautiful wood figures will occur. Sapeli is rated as medium to very durable in regard to decay and insect attacks. It is rather difficult to work with.
