In the Netherlands, Spruce is an important and much-supplied type of wood of constructions, partly due to its attractive price. This softwood is relatively easy to machine by hand as well as by machine. The color of the wood can be described as almost white to pale yellow-brown. Furthermore, there is a clear color difference between the light early wood and the darker late wood.
