Its weight 660 kg/m3 is measured with a moisture percentage of approx. 12%. Silver Birch tends to be light reddish brown, with nearly white sapwood. In contrast to other wood species, there is virtually no color distinction between annual growth rings, giving Silver Birch a somewhat dull, uniform appearance.

Silver Birch, as the name says, is originally from Finland. It is also called the best birch wood in the world. Even though Birch belongs to the harwood species, is still very easy to work with.
